kc_text_block\">\n<p>Esta propuesta se centra en el desarrollo a escala piloto de una tecnolog\u00eda innovadora de valorizaci\u00f3n material y energ\u00e9tica de biomasa\u00a0basada en pir\u00f3lisis, con emisiones netas negativas. Esta propuesta est\u00e1 en l\u00ednea con la necesidad de impulsar tecnolog\u00edas de carbono\u00a0negativo para la mitigaci\u00f3n del cambio clim\u00e1tico, a la vez que se genera bioenerg\u00eda y productos de base org\u00e1nica.<br \/>\nGracias al dise\u00f1o del reactor, mediante la integraci\u00f3n de un sistema de pir\u00f3lisis de lecho m\u00f3vil, que permite obtener biocarb\u00f3n y biooil,\u00a0con un sistema de combusti\u00f3n qu\u00edmica en bucle (CLC) de lecho fijo que oxida los gases de pir\u00f3lisis, se consigue simult\u00e1neamente un\u00a0funcionamiento autot\u00e9rmico, y capturar \u00edntegramente el CO2. La captura de CO2 se realiza sin la penalizaci\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica asociada a la\u00a0separaci\u00f3n del CO2, lo que representa una ventaja significativa.<\/p>\n<p>De este modo, los beneficios de la obtenci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda y productos neutros en carbono por pir\u00f3lisis se potencian enormemente, ya que el proceso global de valorizaci\u00f3n de la biomasa puede ser negativo en carbono (alcanzando un m\u00e1ximo estimado del 70% del C de la biomasa original capturado tanto en el biochar como en la corriente de CO2 de alta pureza que sale del sistema CLC).<\/p>\n<p>Las corrientes gaseosas calientes que salen del sistema CLC (una corriente de CO2 + H2O y una corriente de aire sin ox\u00edgeno) pueden generar un excedente de calor para ser utilizado in situ.<\/p>\n<p>Como resultado, el 100% de la biomasa se convierte en productos potencialmente utilizables, todos los flujos de salida del proceso son comercializables, utilizables o capturables, y se evitan todas o la mayor\u00eda de las emisiones gaseosas contaminantes de la combusti\u00f3n de los gases de pir\u00f3lisis en una caldera convencional. El sistema no requiere un gas portador.<\/p>\n<p><em>Biomass valorization with carbon-negative thermochemical approach by means of pyrolysis<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This proposal is focused on the development at pilot scale of an innovative technology to valorize biomass (energy and materials) by means of pyrolysis, with net negative emissions. This proposal is in line with the global need for deploying carbon negative technologies for climate change mitigation, while generating bioenergy and organic-based products.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>By integrating a moving bed pyrolysis system (to obtain biochar, bio-oil) with a fixed bed chemical looping combustion (CLC) system that oxidizes pyrolysis gases, autothermal operation, as well as integrated CO2 capture by design, are achieved. CO2 capture is done without an energy penalty associated to its capture, which represents a significant advantage.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>In this way, the benefits of obtaining carbon neutral energy or products by pyrolysis are greatly enhanced, as the overall biomass valorization process can be carbon negative (reaching an estimated maximum of 70% of the original biomass-C, captured in both biochar and the high purity CO2 stream exiting from the CLC system).<\/em><br \/>\n<em>The hot gaseous streams exiting the CLC system (a CO2 + H2O stream and an oxygen-depleted air stream) can generate surplus heat to be used onsite.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>As a result, 100% of the biomass is converted into potentially usable products; in other words, all of the output streams of the process are marketable, usable or capturable, and all -or most-of the gaseous pollutant emissions of combusting pyrolysis gases in a conventional boiler are avoided.
