The main objective of the Network is to create a synergy between research groups working in different areas related to biomass biorefinery such as fractionation, component valorization, thermochemical biorefinery, catalyst design, process simulation and optimization and life cycle analysis to exchange ideas, carry out outreach and training activities as well as enhancing the scientific collaboration to promote the development of sustainable biorefinery processes of agro-industrial waste. The Thematic Network is formed by 14 research groups from different Spanish Universities and one group from the ITQ (CSIC-UPV) and is the continuation of the Sustainable Biorefineries Network (RED2018-102623-T and CTQ2016-81848- REDT).
