Fuel conversion and minimization of pollutant emissions
The main objectives of this research line are the valorization and/or reduction of residues, mainly by means of pyrolysis and gasification. As a result, a broad range of biobased fuels or useful products can be obtained.
Production of bioproducts and biofuels from biomass and waste
This research line is focused on the reduction of combustion pollutants such as nitrogen and sulphur oxides, soot…, and also on exploring the combustion behaviour of hydrocarbons, oxygenated compounds or other types of fuel.
